Announcing the Winners of $1500 Video Contest for Students

The first Cool.Club’s Video Contest for students is over. And we are more than happy to announce the winners.

We want to thank all participants who’ve sent us their videos.

We received a lot of inspiration and interesting thoughts.

Our special congratulations go to Mehwish Batool, the winner of the $1000 scholarship in our ‘$1,500 Video Contest Scholarship for Students Who Enjoy Writing’!. Her video ‘Maintaining a High Level of Productivity’ (see below) received 527 votes, the most of any entrant, and has been crowned the winner!

The second prize of $500 goes to Jadah Burciaga. Her video ‘Mistake’ received 368 votes.

But also we’d like to mention two issues we’ve faced with during the contest.

First one is attempts of cheating. We should remind all dishonest participants that cheating is inappropriate both in academic life and in contests. We were able to expose those who tried to break the rules. Videos of these guys were disqualified and were not considered during the counting of votes. We’ll make our best to prevent dishonesty in our future contests.

The second issue we’ve faced was the misleading information on third-party sources. Because of it, some participants missed the deadline and, unfortunately, we were unable to accept their videos.

Despite the problems, we mentioned above, we need to say that all the other works got about 1500 votes. Together, winning videos have gathered 40% of all the views and 37% of the total number of votes. In case you missed the content, click here to see all of the contest entries.
